I have the 6 litre and 4 litre pouches and the features and quality blow me away! They will exceed your expectations if you are used to cheap stuff. Nothing to complain about here.

Small four liter backpack side pouch with rudimentary internal organization and external compression strap loops.

Small four liter backpack side pouch with rudimentary internal organization and external compression strap loops.
Really nothing too fancy, but just what you need from a side pouch on your backpack. The zipper is covered for added water repellency and protection from abrasion and dirt. The vertical webbing on the front keeps the compression straps of your backpack neatly in place over the pouch, allowing them to properly compress the pouch as well. These can also be used as attachment points for bungee cords, carabiners and stuff like that.
A 1" (25 mm) webbing loop and D-ring on the top of the rear interior wall allow you to secure small and important stuff, the flat rear compartment offers rudimentary organization for smaller stuff. The bottom and bottom halves of the sides are lined with 210D polyamide for added abrasion resistance. A grommet offers drainage of any water that may seep into the pouch.
The rear features our standard PALS attachment webbing system with tuck tabs. The middlemost horizontal webbing rows were eliminated as they didn’t really do anything besides add weight. We aren’t a ultralight gear manufacturer, but even we don’t like unnecessary weight.
Optimal attachment requires a width of three channels and a height of five (min. four) rows of PALS webbing. Your packs side compression straps will, when tightened down, eliminate any movement of the pouch and its contents.
The 4L side pouch fits all of our Jääkäri and Kantamus series packs.
As a rather small pouch with only four liters capacity these don't fit anything huge, but this also makes these well suited for use on small backpacks with limited height/width on the sides. Here are some examples of what you can fit in one of these:
1) A medium size tarp and accessories
2) A lightweight puffy jacket, rain suit or poncho
3) A regular 1.5 liter beverage bottle, and some other stuff
4) A 0.7 liter insulated food jar
5) A Jetboil stove and one gas cartridge

I've been really happy with the Savotta accessories I've added to my pack. Everything feels well thought out, durable, and genuinely useful in the field. Side Pouch 4L is fantastic for carrying a day's food ration. The extra capacity is incredibly useful on longer hikes.

Just back from weekend hike with overbight in a hut. 20km distance, 1299m uphill. Gear: Jääkäri L, 4l and 6l pouch and multittol pouch. Third party first aid kit, etc. Off course Savotta gear held up nicely. I could save a kilo or two over other packs, but loose robustness and flexibility. The molle system is just great. Improvement requests: Maybe a carbon frame for the Jääkäri, and more importantly, please sew the water bladder strap on the other way around (see photo 2).

Store owner replied: Hi, and thank you for your review. Good to hear that your gear is getting the job done, as it should! Just to let you know, we will be redesigning the water bladder compartment in a completely new way from now on in our upcoming rucksacks, for an improved experience.
